Prop Spacer

Has anyone heard of installing a spacer between the prop adapter and the prop hub on a dirict drive. the spacer i heard about is 6" to 8"long. Spacing the prop away from the engine will allow for more air to move around the engine. This will take up the same space that a gear box does. I dont know if it will work or not.

worked at a machine shop and made a too inch spacer for a direct drive but sold it before i could put it on went with a 220 still have the spacer tho goes behind your prop adapter i was told that if you went to far back was too much stress on crank

I had a 6inch prop adapter made, worked real good!Moves the motor and riggin up to help balance out the load

my buddy charlie has a custom 4" prop hub spacer on his DD 350 with 5b warp drive.
it moves the prop back without having to move the motor stand for better weight distribution
