Prop torque

How much differance can be noticed in torque according to prop width. Im running a 72" Stumpuller on a 12' narrow hull and have to fight torque all the time...matter of fact to the point I dont run much deep water at all. Would an SS prop or similar narrow blade or a Warpdrive eleminate this problem without having to change hulls???
 
Remeber the more thrust you make the more it will roll. A warp drive or a narrow blade will roll less so will a shorter blade. A Warp drive will help and so would a 70'' or 68''. This is one of those cases where peak thrust numbers ain't better.
 
The wider blade wants to bite more so it has more resistance to turn (move). The only other thing that can happen is your engine wants to torque over in the opposite direction.

I have a 68" Warp Drive on a 7.5' wide hull, and I have almost zero torque roll

There CAN be several causes of torque on an airboat. Please give us a bit more information on your rig. Engine, HP, hull material and mfr., length, seating set up. Lots of times, hull torque can be reduced without swapping props.
 
On a 10' gore with a 125 lyc I had a trim tab made of 2x2 alum
angle about 16'' long. It porpised like mad without it, ran flat
as could be with it. but with the tab the torqe roll was bad at
full throttle. I believe the tab would raise the center of the hull
alowing the torqe to roll the hull. I never had the chance to try
it but would have liked to try two shorter tabs spaced farther
apart on the hull, think that might have mad it better.
 
Bigdaddy this is a 12' Gilileo(glass with slickbottom) with a GO 435 , 72" stumpuller, front driver and double rear. I do have a lenco tab on the boat but it has never been needed to stop porposing. This thing just wants to roll bad in deep water.
