proposed new WI noise regs

One of the things that I do is to attend the fundraiser for the senator in my district witch just also happens to be the senator that introduced our bill. This gives me some personal time to gather input on our situation.

I feel a bit better now.

But if that is the case, why would the Gov't even bother ? I have a nasty feeling that there is something more they are not letting on to with testing.

You'd think because they want to increase the testing distance for safety, they'd also compensate by lowering the db limit for that distance ?? :?

Sure, don't look a gift horse in the mouth!!

Believe me, I donate plenty to our Senators / Rep's.

I know they will fight for me, but this thing is happening internally within DNR. It's a "rule change", with oversight only by the Natural Resouces Board, who are an independant entity..... and don't necessarily bow to political pressure. Our politics in WI are screwed up when it comes to natural resources.

We also stay in contact with the top 3 in the DNR waters div. and we have had one of them come to a MACA meeting as the guest speaker. To fill us in on the DNR's 0pinion of our sport and to explain how and why we need airboats in our state.

Good stuff, Ron. You guys are definitetly doing things right up there.

We had two Florida Fish and Wildlife officers at our FAA quarterly meeting last Saturday, and three guys from South Florida Water Management who need to restrict airboat traffic temporarily in an area where they need to make a repair. I think they thought that they would find a hostile audience. Instead, we told them how to get the word out, and gave them contacts to the local club so that they could attend the next meeting and get everybody notified.

Communicate, communicate, communicate ... when we all have faces and names it makes life simpler for everybody.
