Help need advice! I have a 14' x7' alum. hull with a 220 GPU will run dry with a 68" IVO 3 blade prop but I'm going to load it down with weight. I don't mind spending the money for a new prop,I just want to do it right the first time! I measured my cage a 70" prop would give me 1.75" of clearance from the top of the cage plenty on the sides, and a 72" would reduce my clearance down to .75" is that to close? my motor can't move up. Has anyone ever tryed a 70" 2 blade stump puller on a 220 gpu ? will it pull it and do what I want to do? Should I stick with a 72" super snaper with .75" clearance? :? :?

I have a 70 inch Water Walker on a 13.6x 8 foot hull with a ground power and it does well on the dry.Give Bob Hoover -Swampjet a P.M he is the Water Walker Rep and he also is a wealth of information on ground powers.

cages do shake and flex had 3/4 inch clearance at a support gussett in the cage climed over a dyke and now i got a nice little crease in the gussett, but it did give me the clearence i needed. did not damage the prop and i herd it hit,the prop was a sensenich and the gussett was stainless.

IVE ONLY OWNED TWO BOAT MY SELF BUT BEEN AROUND THEM ALONG TIME I SEEN THE FLEX ALL WAYS UP DOWN AND ALL AROUND
AND ALWAYS SEE MORE THEN 1" OF CLEARNCE ALWAYS AT LEAST 3" ON 99% OF ALL THE ONE S IVE SEEN

PTR34, whats the difference in a 2 blade Q and a 3 blade H ? i have a 72" 3 blade H on my boat now, would a two blade 72" q do better? its a 520 gpu conversion.

Q will give u better bottomend thrust. 3 blade is a little faster. I love the q on my boat . I have ran every prop u can think of and i alway go back to the 2 blade Q. I think the Q runs the dry better. And not as loud to me.

more push is what i am looking for, not to worried with top end, running dry and pushing through stuff is more important to me, guess i need to find someone looking " for a excellent shape 3 blade 72" H so i can get a 2 blade 72" Q

or also, would you be better going with a 72 or 74" prop?
