IT ALL WHERE AND HOW YOU RIDE IS HOW LONG ANY SLICK BOTTOM WILL LAST.YEU IT WILL NOT HOLD UP TO OYSTER BED ROCK STUMPS CONCRETE OR OTHER STUFF. BUT EVEN IF YOU HAVE POLY ON YOUR BOAT AND YOU HIT ALL OF ABOVE EXCEPT OYSTERE BEDS. YOU WILL HAVE BIG PROBLEM WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR BOAT AFTER HITTING THEM.IF YOU LIKE TO RUN OVER A BUNCH OF STUFF,PUT POLY ON IT. IF YOU RUNN GRASS AND WATER AND THE DRY RUN QUICK SLICK.IF YOU RUN ANY FORM OF SLICK BOTTOM JUST KNOW THE DO'S AND DON'T WITH IT. DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT IT IF YOU RUN MILES OF SAND.THEIR IS NO DOUT THAT IT WILL COME OFF.THEIR IS DIFFERENT STROKE FOR DIFERENT FOLKS.ME PERSONAL WOULD RATHER RUN QUIKSLICK THAN POLY.BUT THE BOTTOM OF MY HULL HAS BEEN RAN THREW THE SLICK BOTTOM AND NEEDS ATTENTION. SO AFTER I FIX IT ,I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER TO RUN POLY.BUT WHEN I ORDER MY NEW HULL IT WILL HAVE QUICK SLICK ON IT!!!!

I completely agree that there are correct applications for both poly and slick bottom. :thumbright: I always question people about where they ride and how they use their boats before I suggest one or the other (and many times I have suggested poly for their application).

I was on the market for a slick bottom a few months ago.. I called quick slick and he told me it was not the application for me.

I am sill a believer and think that he has an Awesome product.

From a marketing view point if he tells you his product is not for you.. I look at it like hs is not just tryin to get yer money and has no reason to feed you any B.S .. Honesty is the best pollicy and good cusomer service!!

Definately for the proper application, I just got a step hull so I'm gonna have to try to behave. I'm gonna put some slick on it and try to stay out of the sand, I don't never run miles dry like some hunt boats, just a couple hundred yards here and there. You have to like how a boat rides with slick for sure..

I bought and applied Quick Slick last week. So far runs great! I did extensive prep and cleaning before application. See pic for details.

Looks good. Mine ain't going out again until new slick bottom.

Wonder if that Quick Slick will stick to existing Super Slick 2000 if it's roughed up & cleaned real good?
