FFWCC confirmed today their intent to participate in a joint program with Florida Airboat Association to host Quiet Airboat Competitions. I have been assigned the task of representing FAA in this effort.
FFWCC Executive Director Ken Haddad has assigned Julie Jones, Director of Division of Law Enforcement and Dennis David, Regional Director from Ocala to head their efforts. We will be working directly with Capt. Richard Moore and Brian Rehwinkle to make this program a reality.
A blue ribbon panel of airboat enthusiasts and industry representatives will be selected for efforts directed at strategic planning, judging rules and class development and in planning the actual competitions. If anyone on SAO is inclined to do a great deal of work on this project, likely suffer through plenty of criticism and most certainly give up some seat time to get this done, please let me know.
