Radiator question

Okay, I want to know what the issue is with only using radiators with inlet/outlet...no cap on the radiator it self.

I just don't understand the mechanics of it I guess...if you have an expansion tank up high with a 16 pound cap, why can't you use a good racing radiator with it that has a 20lb cap? The weakest point in the system would still be the 16lb cap on the expansion tank....

I know some guys do this, but almost everyone else swears you need a nascar inlet/oulet only unit.....

Can you guys clear this up? What will it hurt by suing a system with two caps?

We just put a rubber expansion style freeze plug in the radiator, have never had a problem with them yet.

For the last 15 years, I have had a radiator with a cap on it as well as another cap at the top of the stand for filling and overflow. Never had a problem.

THERE ARE RITE AND ANOTHER THING IS WHEN YOU FLUSH IT OR DRAIN FOR WHATEVER REASON ! FILL IT FROM THE BOTTOM CAP WITH A HOSE AND A RAG ! BLOWS THE STUFF OUT OF THE RAD AND THE AIR OUT ! PUT THE TOP CAP ON BEFORE TRYING TO PUT ON THE BOTTOM CAP AND THEN JUST TOP OFF UP TOP ! ! :D
