Rakes should be rounded

Rode a 10ft Hammant with a round gras rake, and a 180 this weekend. The boat was unstoppable with 3 men on it. The round shaped rake definitely worked better through the holly bushes. The driver had something to do with it as well. The boat pushed mud tussoks and rank grass,Climbed in and out of ditches. I was afraid to take him into this area, but he assured me the boat could do it. My next little boat won't have a Sq rake on it, and those lil hammants are bad!

Glad to hear you were impressed with that lil Hamant. They are building a little one for me right now. I can't wait.

one major thing that impressed me BIG time was the way the boat reacted in a 180 spin, the nose dug in on full throttle, and the back end spun around on a dime...if you controlled the gas properly, you could slide it or dig it in. Either way, the 180 made enough power to do a lot of things with that 10 ft hull. Not once was I afraid of tipping a side.

i have a BUDDY WITH A 12 X 7 ULTRA LIGHT HAMMANT .THE BOAT HAS 12 INCH SIDES WITH A 200 LYLCOMING IT IS A HILL BURNER.FLOAT WELL WITH TWO 220 PLUS MEN IN IT . THAT LITTLE BOAT WILL GO ANYWHERE HE IS WILLING TO STICK IT.AND HE STICKS IT EVERYWHERE PEOPLE SAY IT WON'T GO. THE BOAT HASN'T BEEN STUCK YET.

I had never rode a Hamant boat but I was referred to them when I was looking to buy my last boat and that is what I went and got I was very impressed and like you said depending on how hard you push the throttle depends on how it digs or slides I am impressed with them as well...I'm sure that will be my next one to
