Rakes

I just plain dig a tube rake.
Sheet rakes are nice, but some conduit on the front of a boat just never looses it's style for me.

It's good to see Bo chose to build a tube rake on his new boat.

Nice design. I like it. Allot!

Tube rakes might loose their shape for me, but not their style!

I think that black rake in the background is particularly stylish. I hated to see it go away.

It just seems like there's more on a tube rake to look at than sheet metal.
Well I enjoy looking at them anyhow.

They do look kind of sharp!

I prefer the me metal rakes myself...like to stay clean and dry :)

Bo has got this need for speed....wants to increase his chances of keeping the boat in the water!

It has been a couple of years since we built a conduit rake. It was a good change of pace>

nothing like running morning grass with dew on it with an open rake, kinda refreshing....I prefer them to be closed. But that boat is looking good.

I love the look of the tube rakes also. I almost went with one on the new rig but we do too much diving off steep banks here when the water is low. The closed rake keeps the water from coming over the bow.

i have a tube rake on mine, and like it becouse i can see a little more ground in front of me. The down side in my opion only, is that when running tall grass or weeds where there is a lot of spiders and bugs is that the open rake lets everything into the boat. hundreds and hundreds of spiders everywhere.

Don't forget the caterpillars hudsfarm! I've had the boat completly coverd with those before. Whatta mess. Man! Tousands of them things all over the boat.
You gotta be tough if your gonna be... well... run a tube rake.

Main thing is their easy to fix when you bend'em, and that's important to catarack-eyed airboaters who hit trees!

I have a tube rake on my boat. it has expanded matal over it. Helps keep some of the grass and stuff out. But you still get a few bug in the boat with ya.

A long time ago, we were running tall grass in middlefield when the water was high....next thing you know the guys next to us look like they have ants in their pants...so we pull up next to them, and that's exactly what they had.....red ants all over them. Probably why glades boats have full rakes, and high seating.

Rich,
I bet those ants toughend them up a bit!

After building that boat with that crew, I reckon eating a few ants won't be nothing to Bo.

The wind don't mess with a tube rake like it does with a covered rake in open water either.

Even the big heavy seismic boats got blown around with the closed rakes. My new boat has a closed rake but if it gives me a fit, it wont take long to go to Home Depot and solve that problem.

I hear ya about caterpillars and spiders,I`ve had a boat load of each  but I`m building a new tube rake for my boat now.I found when running the fields chasing hogs it`s a good idea to carry a can of RAID :D

I like tube rakes.
I like tube rakes.
I like tube rakes.

Just trying to sound like a broken record.
I hate to dissapoint if I did'nt do that.

Here's a rake that everyone can be happy with:

Ha -Haaa!
Good one Gold! 8)

I reckon it just might, but I'll be trying not to find out anytime soon.

Cowboy.

Here's you a tube rake that's good around grass, oak trees and cypress trees willows,
and myrtles but doesn't look that great on your boat

Nice Rake man!
I prefer the ames greensweepers.
They're tough!
PVC Construction.
Strong as steel...with the bamboo feel.

I tried to braze one onto a conduit handle, but the rake caught fire!
