Results of Osceola meeting

Results of the Osceola County meeting with the commissioners on February 28th show just how much we need our lobbyist. Danny Brantley, Bob Hoover, Bonnie Basham, and members of the Osceola Airboat Club met with the commissioners et al marking yet another victory for our passion. The curfew was implemented for East Lake Toho from 11pm to 5am for ALL boats. Of course this has to go through all the political red tape before finalized. We aren't out of the woods yet......but I would like to thank Danny, Bonnie, Bob and all who assisted in "fighting the good fight". There may be another trip for us all to Osceola County March 19th. The Kissimmee chain being our new backyard, this is huge for Jeff and I.

It is significant that ALL boats are restricted by the curfew. That sets precedent for not singling out airboats and involves a much larger user group for future restriction considerations.

I have a hunch that it will only be ENFORCED for airboats - but whatever.....
