My son came home the other day from school and was talking to me about his history teacher. I was impressed at first with some of the things he said and then he dropped a bomshell. She taugh the class that the second amendment was not writtn for everybody! And doesn't really apply within today's society!!! Still haven't talked with the principal about this, but I am going to.

THAT TEACHER NEEDS TO HAVE HER TEACHING CERTIFICATE REJECTED FROM HER PERMANENTLY.SHE NEEDS TO KEEP THOSE BELIEFS TO HER SELF AND NOT TEACH THEM TO OUR FUTURE CHILDREN.SHE A COMMUNIST

WE are the last generation of Americans. The American culture and mindset are no longer instilled into our children now their only taught the American life style. The greatest generation was truly the greatest I believe ever. Unfortunately I believe my daughter will be the last American generation!

always mean the same for one as they did another. and to imply

With 97% voting a definate YES, I sure don't see much danger. The teachers, on the other hand are a menace to society ! They really should be prevented from teaching or exposing their personal opnions on anything, regardless of the subject. Like Sgt. Joe friday used to say.... "Just the facts maam, just the facts" !

Sure 97% of people on this website agree the 2nd Amendment means the right to bear arms, but I would find it interesting to know the percentage of registered voters and what their interpretation of the meaning is. We need to make sure that the politicians know our feelings and what we expect of them, so hopefully all of those who chose "yes" on that poll are registered to vote and will do so in the next election.

For example, those who have been moving into the state of Florida are practically making it outlawed to run an airboat due to the "noise" that they produce, yet festivals such as Bike Week and Speed Week make it nearly impossible for those who live in Volusia County to go about their everyday life let alone find peace and quiet. I'm not saying end those festivals, but you can't give preference to such an intrusive activity while denying the rights of the person who is simply out trying to enjoy Florida in its natural state.
Remember, we are all voters too, and have a say if we all stick together.

Anybody see what the evil Brady Campaign and other anti-gun cults have created? I personally have zero tolerance for evil and denial. And America had best wake up real fast that the brain-dead celebration of unarmed helplessness will get you killed every time, and I've about had enough of it.
Nearly a decade ago, a Springfield, Oregon, high schooler, a hunter familiar with firearms, was able to bring an unfolding rampage to an abrupt end when he identified a gunman attempting to reload his .22-caliber rifle, made the tactical decision to make a move and tackled the shooter.
A few years back, an assistant principal at Pearl High School in Mississippi, which was a gun-free zone, retrieved his legally owned Colt .45 from his car and stopped a Columbine wannabe from continuing his massacre at another school after he had killed two and wounded more at Pearl.
At an eighth-grade school dance in Pennsylvania, a boy fatally shot a teacher and wounded two students before the owner of the dance hall brought the killing to a halt with his own gun.
More recently, just a few miles up the road from Virginia Tech, two law school students ran to fetch their legally owned firearm to stop a madman from slaughtering anybody and everybody he pleased. These brave, average, armed citizens neutralized him pronto.
My hero, Dr. Suzanne Gratia Hupp, was not allowed by Texas law to carry her handgun into Luby's Cafeteria that fateful day in 1991, when due to bureaucrat-forced unarmed helplessness she could do nothing to stop satanic George Hennard from killing 23 people and wounding more than 20 others before he shot himself. Hupp was unarmed for no other reason than denial-ridden "feel good" politics.
She has since led the charge for concealed weapon upgrade in Texas, where we can now stop evil. Yet, there are still the mindless puppets of the Brady Campaign and other anti-gun organizations insisting on continuing the gun-free zone insanity by which innocents are forced into unarmed helplessness. Shame on them. Shame on America. Shame on the anti-gunners all.
No one was foolish enough to debate Ryder truck regulations or ammonia nitrate restrictions or a "cult of agriculture fertilizer" following the unabashed evil of Timothy McVeigh's heinous crime against America on that fateful day in Oklahoma City. No one faulted kitchen utensils or other hardware of choice after Jeffrey Dahmer was caught drugging, mutilating, raping, murdering and cannibalizing his victims. Nobody wanted "steak knife control" as they autopsied the dead nurses in Chicago, Illinois, as Richard Speck went on trial for mass murder.
Evil is as evil does, and laws disarming guaranteed victims make evil people very, very happy. Shame on us.
Already spineless gun control advocates are squawking like chickens with their tiny-brained heads chopped off, making political hay over this most recent, devastating Virginia Tech massacre, when in fact it is their own forced gun-free zone policy that enabled the unchallenged methodical murder of 32 people.
Thirty-two people dead on a U.S. college campus pursuing their American Dream, mowed-down over an extended period of time by a lone, non-American gunman in possession of a firearm on campus in defiance of a zero-tolerance gun ban. Feel better yet? Didn't think so.
Who doesn't get this? Who has the audacity to demand unarmed helplessness? Who likes dead good guys?
I'll tell you who. People who tramp on the Second Amendment, that's who. People who refuse to accept the self-evident truth that free people have the God-given right to keep and bear arms, to defend themselves and their loved ones. People who are so desperate in their drive to control others, so mindless in their denial that they pretend access to gas causes arson, Ryder trucks and fertilizer cause terrorism, water causes drowning, forks and spoons cause obesity, dialing 911 will somehow save your life, and that their greedy clamoring to "feel good" is more important than admitting that armed citizens are much better equipped to stop evil than unarmed, helpless ones.
Pray for the families of victims everywhere, America. Study the methodology of evil. It has a profile, a system, a preferred environment where victims cannot fight back. Embrace the facts, demand upgrade and be certain that your children's school has a better plan than Virginia Tech or Columbine. Eliminate the insanity of gun-free zones, which will never, ever be gun-free zones. They will only be good guy gun-free zones, and that is a recipe for disaster written in blood on the altar of denial. I, for one, refuse to genuflect there.

I am an immigrant to Florida from Tennessee. When I came here there was no Disney and there was no 4 lane roads except the few backbone tracks through the State. I learned to appreciate what was here before I was and I embraced it, I learned to love oval dirt track auto racing and short oval speedway racing then I learned to love Airboating. I was already a hunter and fisherman but I added these things to the things I already liked instead of trying to make Florida accomidate me, I became a a part of florida. Today at 3 Am if I hear an airboat out on the marsh, Im just a bit jealous knowing he is having a good time and the quality of his life, at that moment, exceeds mine. 
I never have anything to do the next day that is more important than his running his boat all night. If I felt that way, I would either leave the state or move to where I can't hear them. Rather simple actually. I certainly would never consider getting someone else to solve the problem for me.

Our guns, the bility to kill and wage war is what guarantees our government will listen to us when we speak.
If an individual had no guns then there is no reason for the Government to listen to them and they then become a subject of the Government instead of the Government being subject to his wishes.
We rule the Governemnt, the Government must never be allowed to rule us.

People in IRAQ arn`t allowed guns and look what happened to them,Big bad Gun toting Americans are over there Saving there sorry asses! Not just there but all over the world for many many generations. The tree huggers don`t want guns but when some one breaks in there house or robs them who do they call? Gun toting cops. They don`t want us to have them but they damn sure want us to come running with em when they need help. They should haft to look over autopsy photos of people who where killed by some one who could have been stoped if a gun owner had the right to have there gun on them,crime in orlando would have a dramatic drop if Americans where allowed to carry guns,hell crime every where would drop. All we can do is vote for the right people and keep the tree huggers at bay and hope the country comes to it`s senses. Oh,and don`t forget,if the passengers where allowed to bare arms on 9/11 history would be different,And I`d bet my life on that! 97percent say`s some thing atleast

Waterthunder, have faith. We learned from our fathers the values that have made America great. We teach our children and they will teach theirs. The education system needs to overhauled, teachers teach the test not the material. This will never change until they desegregate our history and until they take the hyphen from before American. African-American, Cuban-American whatever it maybe. If you were born here then you are an American.
Why do we have a month set aside for Black history? It is American history, it happened here,like it or not.
I teach my children and anyone who will listen about American values. My kids shoot pellet guns in the back yard almost daily. They stand for the anthem with their hats over their hearts. When 911 happened they were just as mad as the rest of us and they did not understand why everyone on the block did not have a flag in the front of the house.
Teach them young and teach them right and we might be alright.

Trust me I'm fighting it every day for my kids sake. This Christmas I got my daughter a Red Rider BB gun man did she go nut's. Then she screamed "thank you so much dady". I was going to post the video but I kinda keep family stuff private you never know anymore. Anyway if a left wing, anti gun liberal nut saw this video they would probably find some way to drag me into court because it's the last thing they want to see, a very responsible child receiving a BB gun for Christmas! I have learned three things liberals hate is responsible people, guns and Christmas!
Thunder,my 5 year old son wants to go hunting so bad he can`t stand it,so for Christmas I got him the rossi triple threat 22 270 410.He went nuts when he opened it!!! but when the wife`s family came all I got was grief about my son getting a gun for christmas :? Needless to say there was a sermon at my house yeasterday about guns and him being my child and I`ll get him what he is ready for when i want :twisted: Bet they wont try and lecture me any more :lol: :lol:
