rudder measurments

I need to know the distance from the center of the back of the prop hub to the inside edge of the rudders on a boat with a SUPER WIDE PROP. If you put a strait edge from the inside edges of your rudders you shuold be able to measure strait from the center of the hub. I want to finish mounting my rudders before I get my prop. I will have to pitch the 3 blade super wide on 3 so I need to make sure I don't hit my rudders. My boat has a rotater gear box in case that matters.

SORRY CROW ! DIDNT GET HOME WHEN I SAID ! I GOT A FOOT EVEN ! BUT ONLY NEED 8 INS IF YOU TURN THEM SIDEWAYS ! I SET MINE BACK THOUGHT IT WOULD TURN BETTER !BIG BOAT AND STUFF ! :D I DONT KNOW WHAT THE RELATIONSHIP OF RUDDER TO BLADE CLEARANCE IS TO WORK THE BEST ! :D MINE WILL TURN AROUND WITH 4 FAT GUYS IN SAND ! :D

Marshall---I will go see my boat later today and measure mine so you have two points of reference. Didnt get your phone message till late. Buildin a 500Cadillac racecar....a serious effort. Charles

Thanks guys!

I just bought new Teleflex and I will buy my prop next week whether I sell the old one or not. I could buy a new hull and built another boat from all the parts I just took off my boat. The prop I am going to run is the 82" three blade super wide and I hope this is enough prop. I talked to a guy today that said he turns an 80" set on #2 with an almost stock 350 ( 2.68 reduction).
