Running Again!

Slick Rick, Slliiicccckkkkk :)

The way it's handling grass & weeds it'll hop right on across the palmetto flats with no complaints at all.

Rick,

Good to see the boat back together! 4 months would be a long time to be without one!

Hey, how did you ever get your wife to film the video when it looked like you were gonna run over her!

Hope to see ya soon!

Thanks Everyone - I couldn't talk my wife into holding the camera, so I had to use the tripod.

capnmike - It feels about the same as the anglevalve 170, but maybe just a little stronger.

First full trip out was Saturday with my wife & two grandson's and all the stuff you need for a day out with the little fellows including the diaper bag. We put in on the St. Johns River at SR46, went to B.S. Hill, Bear Bluff, over to Loughman Lodge, past SR50 to PawPaw Mound and back to SR46. The boat was loaded fairly heavy for it's size, but still performed great.

I'm gonna experiment with prop pitch to get acceptable performance on the hill at the lowest rpm's to try to get as quiet as possible. In the video, I had it turning about 2850, but now have it down to 2700. It doesn't sound as strong at that rpm, but really didn't seem to lose anything on the hill.

It's cruising on a nice plane with the load mentioned at 2000 rpm's & burn't 11.5 gallons of pump gas in 2.7 hours of running time(4.25 GPH).

It sure does feel good to be back on the water and my wife and I do plan on being in Salt Springs in two weeks.
