Running in Sawgrass

I own a piece of property in Citrus County that is in a residental community. It borders some state property that is marsh. I'm wondering if it is legal to airboat to my property it would involve going about 300 feet from a creek over marsh grass. I would like to do this prior to building my house there. Thanks experts.

Well you got you a tough one there. Is the 300 located in the state preserve? It may not matter because the state may claim it a soverign lands anyway. They may look at your driving the same trail from the creek to your land as dredging a channel. on guy down here took his big prop boat and dredged a channel with the prop wash through a seagrass bed and he is lookin at jail time I was told. SO I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU PROCEED WITH CAUTION MAKE THAT EXTREME CAUTION. How are the environmentalist in the neighborhood? when the get mad about the noise of your boat will they start complaining about the rut you made in the grass? many many variables on this one.

Try the CCAA .These guys know the area and can help.I koined the club at the last metting.
I would bet they can help you get the answer
