RUNNING ON SAND

DUE TO A LACK OF RAINFALL IN OKLAHOMA OUR RIVERS ARE GETTING SMALLER. I HAVE 150 YARDS OF FINE LOOSE RIVER SAND TO GO THROUGH TO GET TO THE WATER. AND..... MY BOAT WON'T GO.
I HAVE A DEEP HULL SILVER DOLLAR 15', HP 350 SBC,80" 3 BLADE WHIRLWIND, 4900 RPM @WOT,POLYMER, 21 DEGREE PITCH, RUNS GOOD ON THE WATER (IMHO). IT WILL RUN ON GRASS.
BEEN READING ABOUT ENGINE MOUNT ANGLE, WITH A LEVEL, MINE APPEARS TO BE EVEN WITH HULL. I CAN SURE CREATE A SANDSTORM. BUT THE BOAT WILL HARDLY MOVE EVEN ROCKING WITH RUDDERS. ENGINE IS MOUNTED ON RUBBER, HOW DO YOU ADJUST ANGLES ? HELP APPRECIATED.

Sand can be a bear to drive across...especially 150 yards of it. I'm not sure how the sand is out there but the sand I've run across in Florida can stop you in a hurry. Wet sand seems to be the worst. I've had my boat come to a complete stop when hitting wet sand and then slowly take off again. One suggestion is to keep a handly supply of 1/2" or 3/4" pvc pipe to lay on the ground in front of you. It doesn't take a lot of it to help you out. It beats staying stuck and out of breath.

Sand can be tough stuff but you also have to realize
(with no offense intended)
you have one of the heaviest boats built. I have been in a couple of the same model boats that don't move on groud with even bigger engines due to design and extreme weight.

Anything you do to lighten up will increase your performance.

Just my 2 cents.

hard sand is alright ,wet sand like jdotson mentioned can be real bad and dry loose sand is worst. other then pvc would be boards or ole fence posts . I wouldn't be beyond sowin some brown top millet seed out it seems to come up in about a week or two and will grow on about anything .
