sandblasting

was thinking of sandblasting some of my seat stand, I know the sand gets just about everywhere, If I wrap the AC motor and tank vent do you think I could get away with it without taking everything apart?

I would think so, just use plenty of Duct Tape. Trash bags should seal it off if well taped etc.

Scotty :)

I wouldn't risk it. I have done it in the past and regreted it. Unless your using a small blaster and very small area.

I agree with Faron. Blasting dust gets into everything. Besides, you'll want the engine stand to match too, Mike.
I suggest you sling the engine, plug everything off and pull the boat out-of doors, blast it, paint it, and go back together.

It will be a lot more work, but it'll be worth it. While the engine is off, you can set it on a stand and detail it too.
