saw a strange airboat today

Driving down the road in Inverness, FL. Airboat had a cab like an Alaskan airboat would use. It looked like a helicopter fuselage mounted on an airboat. It was very nicely done, just not sure why it would be needed in Florida.. Anyone have more info?
 
Could be a/c climate control,,, we know a guy who did the same type of set up on a swamp buggy
