Well first thanks to all who helped me with my motor problem. Its fixed in the bad way oh well have to put another motor on.
So this is my question what lift is best for a 350 cam shaft on a airboat DD motor.
I going to re cam the original motor that was on the boat. what can I say I need the boat running for opening day of bow This is a patch job.

I do have some other questions for the future
How much does a cad 500 weigh compared to a 350
How's the mounting different.

On a DD motor I would make sure your center line is on a 106 and no more then 108. I would keep the lift under .460 and go to a 1.6 ratio rocker arm. I would recommend the Comp Cams extreme 4x4 PN #249-CL12-231-2 cam it's a .432/.453 lift you can advance the cam to get it to a 106 centerline. Also If you already have a SBC I would just bolt a gearbox on it instead of going to a Caddy. That will give you the best performance. On a DD higher ratio rockers can give you a lot of low end valve velocity and bottom end grunt!
