SCAC Poker run for the kids who's going?

Trying to get an idea of how many are going on this run. It is for a great cause and will be a good ride. The water in this area is still at a good level.

I'm still planning on being there if I get my starting/electrical problem solved. :banghead: Cooler weather will be my motivation to work on the boat in the afternoons this week.

JD, the switch might not be up to the starting amperage. You might have too many other circuits tied into it. Just a thought.

Geneva,

Sorry to say that MsWizard and I will miss this one

For anyone doubting whether to go or not...

The Seminole County Airboat Club has a bunch of awesome members and beautiful riding over there! Life's short, get offa the couch :D

Basket, maybe we'll see you and MsWiz on the next run. Always have a great time riding with y'all.

We will not be able to make it either. I have a friend of mine coming in Saturday night and our club is putting on a poker/Halloween run on Saturday.

I think this weekend (or there abouts) marks the one year anniversary of the last time our state was hit (directly) by a hurricane. (?) Was Wilma the last storm to hit us?

I can't believe we've gotten off so easy this year when it comes to Hurricane season.

I'm planning on heading out to the ride. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces there.... and I especially like the cause for this one. This is the toys for teens thing, right?

matt.

10-4 Mood,Lets say, Gifts for teens for Christmas. You know how the older kids are these days about getting toys for gifts. But we will have them covered.Glad to have ya.

I fixed the electrical problem and will be there. Olf I was working in the direction you mentioned and turned out that the source wire to the switch had a bad termination. I took a few days to think about the problem so I didn't keep chasing my tail to fix it. It is ironic that a lineman with 24+ years has a hard time troubleshooting a 12V system.

Glad you found it, JD. Those poor old switches get hammered because everytime you add something to a circuit, the instructions say to connect it to 'ignition'. All that really means is switched power. It doesn't have to be the ignition switch.

Just got off the phone with Loughman Lodge and have a cabin for tonight and tomorrow night. Now if I can just get through these remaining work hours today! :hiding:
