secondary throttle spring

anyone have an opinion on the need for a secondary throttle spring? any ideas on how the best way to install one?

A spring for the secondaries of a 4-barrell carb, or a redundant/second spring in the primary shaft?

I always ran two light throttle return springs.
after having a couple of them break on me,
and not being able to idle below half throttle
I started using two. If one breaks you can
feel it but still be able to idle down.

got two on my 220 spring broke on carb stuck wide open till I shut the mag off one hell of a ride for about a min.
