So I put the new Sensenich superwide on today and set the pitch at 3, which is their maximum mark, and went to run Conservation area 2. Perfect conditions with plenty of water. I could not believe the "quietness" of this propeller. Its night and day from the four blade powershift I ran for years. And the low speed push made me laugh out loud. 2400 rpms, so the prop is turning 1020rpms, and I am going 28 miles an hour with the big Maddog 16x7.6 Alumitech that seats 5 folks. Unlike any other propeller experience. Wot was only 4200rpms, so I will either bump the timing up to 36 degrees from 34, or back the propeller down .5 to 2.5 and give her a go. But the quiet factor is truly significant. In the boat ramp world of 400hp direct drive stock small blocks---right---this is a real world honest breakthrough for the propeller manufacturers. I may send my rotator back for the 2.68 gears. Questions welcomed. Charles
 
That's what I'm looking to do if I could sell my 4 blade, but the only peolpe seem to be belt drive users that are looking. Well I may trade in my 4 blade Stump puller blades and get the Master Blaster 2.3 they do have a little bit more sound but I'm on a buget right now. Still waiting of my flat top pistions to come in.

Finally this is what I have been saying for years. RUN A 2.68 WITH TON'S OF PITCH and turn less RPM's. I love this prop I cruise at 1,800RPM with my wife and kid in the boat that is 671 prop RPM's. You will also notice how much more fuel efficient you boat will become. So let's see! less RPM's, more push, better fuel economy and it's very quite. The 2.68 box with this prop is the major reason I won the sound competition plus they will run dry is like child's play.
 
I am glad to hear you guy's like this prop set up so much because I have decided to make a big move on my boat I am replacing the whole drive system on my boat so it will be ready for hurricane season Waterthunder is buildind me one of his LS 6 motors and I am getting that soft drive 2.68 that he had and I am going with the wide Qseries three blade on my boat from best I can figure I will be loosing 300 lbs of the back of the boat and gaining 125 hp over what I have now and if anybody is in the market I am selling the modified ZZ4 with the 2to1 belt drive and the 2 blade power shift prop they are all in excelent shape with just a little over 100 hrs on the whole set up so if any body has a boat they are building or just needs a compleat drive system I have a nice one for sale the main thing for me is I will have a nice quiet boat with lots of power and that is a good thing in Search&Rescue business.
 
Sniper I received everything and will start on it this week. I will post some pic's of your power train as I assemble it. What color is your rig?

I ALREADY SWAP FROM 209 TO 237 !SORRY CHARLES I JUST WENT BACK READ THE OTHER POST ANSWER IT MYSELF ! THANKS ANYWAY ! :shock: I GOT TO STICK WITH THESE 2.3 FOR A WHILE !
