Sensenich VS Water Walker

Hi all:

New to this forum and I have a question.

Sensenich wide blade or Water Walker Falcon Series? Whats better?

I know what I say but, I think I will avoid this can of worms for now till I see a few other responses. I don't want to be the one to light the powder keg this time.
I am curious to see some of the replies though.

I don't have experience with either but I've been here long enough to know you'll probably be asked all kinds of application questions like: what size boat and powerplant, what is your intended purpose for the boat, what do you want the boat to do, do you just want static thrust as in most thrust while stuck in a sticky spot or do you want top end. One of the props might give you better thrust standing still but not have the top end of the other and vice versa. If you can answer these you'll get better answers for your perticular situation. Oh yeah I almost forgot, WELCOME ABOARD !

Monday I will answer this question. I just sold my 3b 80" falcon blades today and switched to the Super wide blades. Sunday will be the first run with the new blades and we will see what the 82" Super wides will do on my boat. I had no trouble running dry with my Falcon blades.

We've had a Sensenich Wood Prop and a Whirl Wind Prop and love them both and both vendors have been good to work with.

Hey crow i was wandering how that was working out? one is better on the bottom and the other on the top.You can't go wrong either way.I have not owned Whirl Wind yet.

SENSENICH SUPERWIDE AND WHIRL WIND BLASTER 2.3 ARE GOOD! SENSENICH PUSHES A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE WHIRLWIND ABOUT THE SAME ON TOP ! BY THE NUMBERS ! BUT NUMBERS ALL NOT ALWAYS THE DEAL ! SENSENICH IS THE BETTER DEAL ON MY BOAT ! :D

I think david is going to do thrust test on all of the above props and more. I don't know when though.

I am going to set them on #3 to start and do a few half speed runs to get them set. After that I am going to pour the coal to it and see if the blades can hold the motor under 5K. With any luck it will hold the motor around 4800rpm, if not I will turn them to #4 and save up for a 4 blade hub and one more blade.

Your going to be grinning like a mule eating briar's :D Those extra 2in will help hold it. I think you will be right on the money imo? You will have such a big BITE now your boat will run on it's side a little more considering the width of the hull. You will not care tho because you will be able to do land clearing now! Keep us posted.

Hey Crow,

What are your HP and Torque numbers? Just wondering, you could have probably stayed with an 80" and hold her under 5k. 3" per blade is a big difference over a 12"
wide blade, never the less she's gonna eat.

Richard Potter posted my dyno sheet on a diffrent thread a while back. I know I am over 500hp and right at 600lbs on torque.
