Notice that the cracks run in 4 directions.
First I drilled holes at the end of each crack to arrest them, the holes will be filled with rivets when patched.
Then had to cut out some material to get the damage to lay down with a hammer.
Then added a patch plate using "Ultra Black" gasket maker.
This was a 1 week turn around repair using whatever I had laying around (no 7075 at the time). The poly still has a few years, so we riveted the whole thing straight through the poly. We will deal with it on the next poly job, redoing this patch properly.
So far so good.
