Is anyone running this oil?.Has anyone had this in there motors yet. Have 30 hours on the motor and oil use has slowed to 1/2q every tank so I think I am good to change from minneral oil now.

Wally, 30 hrs may be a little soon to switch. 1/2 qt per tank isn't alot ---unless it's one cyl. that's not seated yet. I'd look at the plugs before I switched. It took my eng. 100 hrs. before I got a good reading on all cyls.

Good luck,
Harvey

Harvey - Explain alittle better about reading the cylinders. Assuming you mean reading the plugs. ?? That is something I never understood well or could seem to do well.

Thanks for the info I will hold off. When I called Jr J He told me it could take up to 100 to set. I changed the plugs from top to bottom at 25 hours and I am trying to find some to replace them with at 50 I do not know were to get them thet are not champion . I also need to put some angle boot covers on my wires.
when I turned plugs they were oily but not bad. I run av gas no pump gas and they say that will help.
Don't know ,first aircraft motor just getting my info from you guys
and if I have not said it

THANKS FOR THE INFO

Hey MP --- My plugs had oil on them when breaking in my engine (you could smell it ) I cleaned or replaced them often (about every 30hrs) untill rings were seated and oil consumption minimized. I'm no expert---that's just what I did.

WG--- I run Denso L14 U. I used to buy them locally at NAPA, but they dont have them anymore, so I order them from http://www.sparkplugs.com (888-800-9629) $2.24 ea. I also run 100 LL

Harvey - Ok, I was thinking that you were looking at the tip and seeing a color change or something. Never thought about looking at it to see if it had excess oil. Now I feel like Homer Simpson.
