A 4cyl would be perfect for that boat...A 180 0r 200hp 0360 would be more than enough power. You could also find an0320h2ad 160hp pretty reasonable too.
Good luck with the new project.

With a 200 on a light boat your biggest worry would be getting airborne
No need for pvc when you can just pick the boat up and move it :D

I`ve got a hull that looks just like that one and I`m going with a pe90 gpu with 520 cyls,You don`t need much with these little hulls, the stock pe 90 at 150 horse would be more than enough but i`m just going for more. You can pick up a pe90 for about 1500 bucks complete and running

Keep in mind that I also want to deck it the rest of the way and make it a 2 seater. Think I can still keep it light enough? Joe, how much after the 520 conversion?
Thanks,
John

Both speed wheelie and JC stanley do the gpu conversions.
Wally Moore in orlando and chipper at lacourte powdercoating in cocoa had some lycoming 0320h2ad's for sale for around 2 to 3k depending on if you want them turnkey with all accessories.

Thats what I was hoping for turn key around 3k trying to get a good reliable power plant and prop for 4k or under

if your asking how much power I`ve been told around 250horse after the conversion,If your asking how much it cost`s I`m not anywhere near done yet but so far I have all but mags carb headers and intake and I have about 1100.00 in it but I`ll have about 2500.00 in when it`s done I`m sure

Man, I didn't know you could that much HP out of a pe90. I wanted to build another car motor but I always wanted to try an aircraft boat so I can have a legitimate opinion,I don't want a race boat but I definately want something quick that will burn up the hill :D

Theres no question about this one, a four cylinder will bring that boat to life. I read that you were planning on making it a two seater, wieght is a four cylinders worst enemy, but one more person isnt much if you put a stock 0-360, built up 150, 0-320hd, or basically anything above 160 horse. If I were you though i would try to find a stock 0-360 (180 hp), they are reliable and have plenty of power to burn the hill. I have a 10ft thurman hull ( all riveted 7075, full deck) single seat with a 0-320 case (150 hp) with 0-480 angle valve cyls. a 64in 5 blade warp drive, 3/8 polymer, and I burn it up. My best friend has a 12 ft gileo (fiberglass) 3 seat, 180 hp and with 3 people he goes every where I go and even some places the 0-540s run from. No joke, have fun.

Sound good, If anyone knows of any decent deals let me know, With lack of knowledge of aircraft I would like to find something ready to go within the next couple weeks. I still have to pickup the hull, also the 350 and headers etc. on it will be 4sale cheap.

Thanks for everyones input,
John
