Sight for Sore Eye's

Yeah,
I had a great time this weekend.
Did'nt get to do much visiting with y'all, but I still enjoyed it all.

I was just kicking back relaxing a bit, when I got a call Sat about dark. It was Gold and he had got seperated from the group heading back to the landing.
Gold finally got me his gps coorinates after about 20 phone calls, but I was still kinda nervous heading out to locate him. 4cyl, low water and all.

I don't know that area as good as many of y'all, but the group I was with sure does.
They told me the easiest running route to try, and right at about dark, North I went looking for Gold.

They way they told me to go was work'in out fine.

Got up there a good ways, just picking my way in the dark real careful. Trying not to get into trouble myself.
I was looking all around as I went, looking for any sign of Gold. Even though I knew he was still supposed to be well North, I started seeing a light over my shoulder, off to my East.

I figured it might be Gold.
Perhaps I had got the numbers wrong, and passed by him.
Perhaps he was trying to chase me down.

Flashed that other light a couple of times, and it flashed back.
I just doubled back a short ways, and waited on that boat to see who it was.

It was Grant.
I sure don't mind telling all y'all, the sight of his boat pulling along side sure put my mind at ease.
A sight for sore eye's.

No more big worries for me as we continued the search for Goldhunter, and got him back on the trails.
The run back down to Duck was easy with Grant leading back South.
Grant knows full well where all the easy running's at way on back in the grass.

Just wanna say Thanks Grant.
Thanks again for runn'in way on up there to make sure I did'nt get into no kinda trouble.
Can't really say how much that meant to me, but I can say it was more than alot.

Seeing a swamp fox run the marsh at night was a sight I won't be forgetting.
Hope I get to see it again soon.

That's all I got to say about that y'all.

Yep , I'd like to thank both you and grant i was more then happy to see ya'll and then on the way back I felt allot better with the mechanical problems knowing that ya'll had experience with some of this stuff just would like to say thank you again grant and cowboy

Glad to be of help. It can get a bit challenging out there when the sun sets. A lot more so when it starts to dry up and you aren't sure you got the power to bust them ridges, or the knowledge to get around them.
Cowboy, sorry I missed you later on, but we had to work our way back to where we stashed our gas.
Maybe we can get together another time.
I know I would enjoy that.
Goldhunter, don't give up on running the glades it just takes a lot of trips to get your bearings, but keep going and it will come!

Grant
