Silicone the wires ??

I have a 0-470 GPU. Is it ok to silicone and seal where the wires go into the mag??

I know this may sound like a stupid question.....
 
You really should not have to but it will not hurt anything. The metal mag cap the wires go through has to be drilled out so you can put the automotive style wires through. If that hole is drilled to big it could be a problem letting water in. BUT the rubber insulator rubber inside acts as a seal around that hole. You can also unscrew the wire harness and put a little silicone between the mag and the harness because that is metal to metal. Go ahead and use it if you thing you need it. It cant hurt anything only help.
 
hey mike, how much do you charge for an 0540 straight valve, narrow deck rebuilt cylinder if i send you my old one i have on right now?
