Skip White performance 427?

Anyone running skip white performance 383/427 SBC? Been looking at the 427 sbc on their website was wondering if anyone is running one what setup you have and hours you’ve gotten out of it so far. TIA

I have a Skip White 427. 560T/560HP. It's on a 15' hull. 2:1 belt drive. Three blade whisper tip 2.0. I turn it at 5000 RPM's.It definitely goes where my 350 wouldn't. I have about 20-30 hrs. on it so far. My hour meter recently quit working so I don't know the exact hrs. It had a small problem with the valve covers when I received the engine but they shipped me a new set and when I got them I sent the original set back. I had mine built with forged crank, pistons and connecting rods. AFR heads. ARP bolts. In other words I didn't cut corners on anything. I bought the dyno package so the engine came tuned and ready to run. The engine came well packaged and was built, shipped and received earlier than promised. All I can tell you is so far, so good. Only time will tell. They offer a one year warranty on airboat engines. If you have any other questions let me know.

Yeah that’s the main reason I’m considering it over the 383 MAS now. New dart block, forged scat crank and rods forged wiseco pistons, AFR heads, scorpion rockers and ARP studs sounds like it has good parts to last in it. And hearing they gave you a one year warranty makes it better. That was the main thing I liked about the MAS 383 2 year 200hr warranty. I’ll be giving them a call today to talk about building one. That’s the same area I’m looking at turning it pretty much I have a 3 blade JW now 52-5400 rpm max is what I’m looking at turning the motor but to be honest 5k is probably more than enough. My hull is 13’6x7’ so it should be more motor than I need but I want to be able to switch to a 15’ boat later if I want to and use the same engine with no problems.
