slick bottom

I never had good luck with Frog Spit...plenty of people do but I didn't and I have a few friends who didn't either. It seemed to come off real fast with some hard hill running. Try checking out some of the guys who do custom mixes....Predator Airboats has a good one as does Greg Taylor in Lake Wales.

If you have frog spit and change to one of the custom mixes make sure you get all the frog spit off first. frog spit sticks to frog spit very well, some of the other custom mixes do not. I went to a custom mix last year and after about 20 hours of running time I noticed some small areas starting to chip off. in each spot you could still see some some of the gray color of the frog spit under the new bottom. the frog spit was sanded off, but you have to get it all completely off. If you can still see any color keep sanding, or some of the other mixes wont stick to the frog spit.

if you're near the kissimee area, there's a slick bottom called "owl shit" that's some of the best around. its $300 for 3 gallons painted on. my buddy has a 502 BB and he's been running it for over six months now, and there's still no real signs of wear, and that's with 90% of our running being on dry ground

where in the kissimmee area that is a big area with lots of folks who work on boats. how about a phone number and a name. thanks

The guy who makes "owl slick" is James and he lives off of Hatchineha Road. I have it on my boat and it works good. His # is 863-581-0695.
