So am I crazy?

I've owned my current boat 8 years, It's a cm , Marty Braye hull standard k&n filter..I've operated it in the rain, trailed it in the rain its sat in the rain on a few of our trips never have I had a issue with water..
This past Sunday I pulled it to the coast in a mist ,drizzle for 30 mins when we got there It had water in a few cylinders,,no it wasn't coolant, the only thing I did different was put the plugs in at the house!! Have I been just ridiculously lucky or is it possible it caused some sort of vacuum through the exhaust that caused a suction at the air cleaner???

I think you've been very lucky depending on your air cleaner setup, but just curious on the condition of the k&n , if its dryed out or without oil maybe its not repelling the water like it used to or the nut/washer on top air cleaner (if carbed) letting it leak in if it loosened up :dontknow:

The washer is good rubber and nuts tight, it very well may be the actual filter. It was just ironic the first time I pulled it with the plugs in it happened. Thanx

What kind of plugs are you talking about? Spark plugs or the boat plugs?

Haha Obviously the drain plugs.

That’s what I thought but you never know lol. I think you’ve been extremely lucky and/or your filter is starting to go bad and not repel the water
