I have been remis in keeping folks posted the progress on my boat.
I got home on the 16th and have been hard at it working on the house. Its amazing what happens when ya arent there for a year at a time. Im about to see some (a little) daylight though.
My boy John has got the aggervating little oil leak stopped with some goodies courtesy of Cowboy. Nice and dry now.
The leak however had saturated the starter. No clue how long it had been like this but when the shop opened the starter up today it was a collosal mess. Burned and broken wires and total tar inside. They cleaned it up, rewound it and she starts hot or cold with just a tap of the starter.
Next is a mixture control cable, and some plastic rudder tophat inserts. Should be able to do some of this on Sunday. If not Monday or Tuesday should see it all together and ready for a test run.
Next step will be mufflers, a flag and registration and title change. If life doesnt interfere it should see water mid week. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
