The river Clean up was a decent success considering the weather.Folks from the LCAC ventured out amongst the weeds and gathered there booty ,wich consisted of bottles ,for sale signs, old crab traps ,doors and one gill net (which was in mighty good shape and didn't make it into the dumpster) .After 4 hours of gathering the folks were feed Hot Dogs and Hand cut fries at the Volusia County nimemile Pravilion

Hmmmm.... whose phone number is that? :?: I found it on my speed dial. And I know it's on about half of Southern Airboat member's speed dials as well. Does he know his number is there like that? LOL

I'll bet that sign won the prize for most unusual trash!

matt.

That's funny I had two for sale signs on my boat and after two races they were gone. When I was loading my boat my wife noticed they were gone! The little fellea's must a hung on all day untill the race! Man I never leave trash that was a mistake. I still had the corners zip tied to my seat stand somebody on this site must be awsome at jig saw puzzels!

That's why it oughtta win the prize for UNUSUAL find!!!!

You are so NOT the kind to leave stuff behind! I've seen you pick up cigarette butts and put them in your pocket at the Oakhead.

If not a prize for most unusual find of trash - then most unusual method of creative advertising!

dannix48,
welcome to the site :!: there are always groups doing cleanups all around the state they be happy to have all the help they can get

Welcome Dannix - Are you a member of the Seminole County Airboat Club? They are the kings of the roost in them parts. Meetings are at the Jolly Gator on the first or second Wednesday each month. ( i forget which) Laura and I love the KRVSA folks but we plan on joining up with the SCAC folks too real soon.

Last time I passed Bear Bluff - It was looking a little nasty and overgrown too. I suppose that's what you are talking about when you say Hatbill Park.

Usually the cleanups of the river areas are done when the water is down - and we can see where the trash is. But that is no rule for sure!

I hope to see you on the river some day. Maybe we'll have a spontaneous cleanup. Welcome to the forum.

matt.

We are going to organize another cleanup of bear bluff at the next seminole county airboat club meeting. Skeeter or myself will be sure to keep everyone posted.

Dannix welcome aboard,SCAC's next meeting is Sept 5th at Jolly Gator usually 7:30ish.Come on out.Forst Wed of every month.

Hey thanks everybody for having on here!! My sister and I clean bearbluff up last week. But I'm not in a club yet but it sounds like the one at JollyGator is the one for me.. We'll be at bearbluff Saturday come by and say hey to us.

Myself and several club members used weed eaters last year on the whole place.I think we need to figure a way to get a mower or two out there this year.May see you guys Sat.

Saw Dannix at Bear bluff Sat. We ran by there in the middle of the Poker run. They had mowed and bagged up a bunch of trash. We hauled in 3 or 4 bags of stuff so they wouldn't have to take it all. Looks pretty good now. Good job.

Hey Dannix48

Welcome aboard.

You'll like S.C.A.C. if you decide to join.

I'm a new member myself but you only feel like the FNG for the first minute or so.
They make you feel right at home.

A good bunch they are.

Same here, we met Dannix & his sister at Bear Bluff Saturday also...said they just decided to come out to mow & clean up.

Welcome to the site Dannix!

Rick
