St. Lucie foursome make rescues by airboat

NEW ORLEANS � The guys from Port St. Lucie put Vicks salve under their nostrils when they take their airboats out on the putrid waters. But the medicinal smell doesn't offset the stench of rotting bodies and pollution that permeates their missions of mercy.
"There are a lot of bodies in attics," said Nick Cronin, a tile setter. "You can see all the flies, and the smell is terrible." . . .
