Stainless rigging polishing

I’m looking for a good place to polish my stainless rigging, I’m located about an hour south of Lakeland. I attempted to do it today, it was more work than I was looking for and didn’t turn out the way I hoped. I just don’t have the tie or patience. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Some issues with heat sink paste or pickeling paste that could drive polishing to four digits? A lot of repair and even new work does not include this unless specified.
Cheaper to powder coat it!

I run my boat in the saltwater most of the time. I went with 304 SS and I polish it with a softscrub pad, lol. For the 1st few years I kept it polished both hull and rigging.

Not so much now, I send to much time in the salt. I do keep it very clean but the whole polishing thing is way to much work.

Powder coat scratches and peels.

I have cheated in the past and brought my aluminum airboat with stainless rigging to the local truck stop and they acid wash it. Shines brightly afterwards but you can only spray around the cage where the wash won’t hit the engine. I don’t know if others will object to this approach but just sharing what I’ve done.

Ouch!

Acid wash goes somewhere? Possible closest drain or canal.
Probably the making of super soap in the 70"s that took finishes to paint booth.
Shit that peels skin for bright stainless after the fact is not so great.

Of course the op said that from start, Polishing is too tough, any cheap answers?

FYI Take it easy on those chloride cleaners, it is detrimental to stainless, it can causes chloride cracking issues
