Did a search and didn't come up with much. What can I use to remove rust spots on the welds on my stainless cage? My boat is primarily used in salt and that obliviously is a harsh environment.

Well, do not use a wire brush wheel as it will deposit steel into the stainless, use a brush, muriatic acid to clean the rust,, rain suit, good safety goggles and gloves are a must!
Baking soda mix to neutralize the acid when done cleaning.

I used a brass brush on a drill, myself.
So far; so good…
