Anybody used the new steelflex with the slickstuff already in it, putting on a alumn deckover, just wondering or should i go with the regular steelflex and top it over with frog spit, thanks, Lee

I've used it before. Slick at first but the slickness didn't last long. My dad had the same problem. After a few months it was like regular steel flex, not that slick.

I started buying mine from a guy named lauren up around kissimmee. He bought out ricochet airboats. I think he sold it now but here is the last numbers I have for them 863-227-5008 and 863-696-0084. One of them worked last year. The new guy that bought them has the formula I believe it was nick giffins old formula. When I used to race it is what everyone around here was running. Don't untie your boat at the ramp until you back it in because it will fall off of the trailer! Pretty good stuff.

813-523-0179 IS THE NUMBER I HAVE FOR LAUREN. HE JUST PUT SOME ON MY BOAT ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. I AM HAPPY WITH IT AND WILL BE BACK WHEN I WEAR IT OFF.

i ran the steelflex 2000 on my boat did not run dry alot it stayed on for 3 years but held up well.then i found james smith on lk hatcheneha rd.he has owl slick it was cheep for 3 gallons and he sprayed it verry nice guy.and after my first run on dry it smoothed the ruffness of the spray and smoothed it down and it is slick as sh@1.and i have road some nasty trails following some smaller rigs and it is still ther looking pretty good.

I think the quality wend down hill on steelflex 2000 ,I've used it before and was great ,redid the bottom with it last year , made 3 runs and no more slick .The 2000 dosent stick to metal boats very well , you can use regular steelflex then the 2000 on top.

I've had really good luck with cleaning the bottom back to aluminum(grind or sand) and actually spray the bottom of the boat with vari-prime(2 part self etching primer). Then apply with a dump gun the slick bottom from lauren in the above post. Holding up great for a year now on my pops boat.
