STEEL FLEX

It is an alternative to polymer. If you want to use somthing that is easily replaced, weighs less, but does not hold up as long as polymer.

Good stuff. Just used some for a patch and I'll be doing the whole bottom as soon as I can. It just feels slicker and tougher.

There ya go.

I recommend the super steel flex for the side, transom, or areas that you whant to look nice.

If your just gonna do the bottom, get the superslick, steelflex. It's pretty dadgum slippery.

If it is anything like slick bottom then it will hold real good. Just take a palm sander and scuff up your bottom real good and then clean it with acetone. Check the directions real close and mix the right amount of hardener and apply it. It would probably work best with a cup gun to spray on, but a roller would do it too I guess.

Quaker, the steelflex on the bottom of my fiberglass hull is goin on six years old now and still looks fine.

I don't run dry though .... it's just on there for extra protection.

No, but it would help. You can simply roll the boat onto it's side without disassembling everything but you can prep the hull and apply the mix better if it's completely flipped.

would not hurt to take all the rigging off, that is if I can get it all back fitting the way it is now. There are some bends in the cage and all.
