Stinger gearbox fitment

Looked all over and haven't found a good answer yet. I have a stinger 2.38 box on a 350sbc. I know the bell housing is the same but the crank ends are different along with the flexplate. Will it work with a 6.0 ls? What all would be need for the swap, any changes to rigging besides motor mount?
 
We just completed that swap. You will need socket head metric bolts for the bell housing. Call stinger and get a heavy duty dished flywheel for an LS and an extended pilot shaft bushing. Order the flat LS motor mount adaptor plates. The motor mounts will have to be moved all the way forward on the plates to fit your existing stand.. The stand for our swap did not have to modified at all.
 
The ls crank is .400" shorter than a SBC crank, unless you have the very early version 6.0. If you look some of the 6.0's with a 4l80e have a flat flexplate and a spacer. This will correct the spacing issue but the converter hole pattern will required 3 of the holes to be modified to mate with the stinger drive plate. or get and adapter flexplate meant work with a TH300/TH400 and you will still need spacer.

We just assembled 2 LS3's. Both aluminum 6.2 L. One was a 2007 and the other was a 2008. We used JW flywheel # 93019-LS-DA. I also had this flywheel on a 2005 iron 6.0 LQ4. Both are used with a soft drive from stinger. No spacer plates or drilling or modification of the holes of the flex plate.
 
With any gear drive installation the most critical thing to look for in the marriage is that your flywheel bolts and drive plate bolts do not align and make contact. They should be offset. There are more than one spacing patterns produced on some gear drives and if you are misaligned and marry the engine to the drive with contact you will destroy your power train.

Example: You purchase a used OX Box to mount on your 500 Cadillac but the former owner had ordered it for a 454 Chevrolet. That alignment will be a conflict and will not work as there are a deviation in the bolt patterns. What you would need to do is contact Ox and obtain the standard Chevrolet pattern plate. It just bolts on and is an easy swap.
With Stinger I have heard that on some applications a dished billet or custom flywheel are used in which the orientation is drilled offset to prevent contact. Personally I would avoid a spacer plate and opt for a true off set if there was a conflict. I think Rotator and Torque drives are made with a universal plate where if you align properly there are multiple configurations that marry to an SFI flywheel.
