Stolen Boats ?

A Palm Bay police officer stopped by my buddys house today. My buddys wife answered the door and he told her he knows the two airboats in the yard belong there. He was just letting them know to keep an eye on them that four airboats had been stolen in Palm Bay in the past week. I hope they catch the bastard that is doing it !

Well well. Maybe its time to put the boat in the driveway and camp out in it. If yall hear a loud noise it won't the trailer ball falling into the hitch !

Scotty

ya'll know if a metal boat trailer was sitting in a mans driveway and a 220 power cord "accidentally" was connected to it would sure solve the problem with the thief ....... and save tax payer money in jail up keep and court cost :D

Times are getting tense....too many folks living above their means...it's only gonna get worse if "we spread the wealth around".

Maybe the easiest solution is to put the boat on the ground and the trailer elsewhere....hard to quietly dry load....

I've started parking my truck cross ways in front of my boat, and disabling the ignition on the truck. It's getting to where I hate to go out after dark and leave it unprotected anymore, and I grew up in a time when folks didn't even lock their front doors!

Man,wish i found out before I went to work! I`ll take extra precautions tonite.keep your ears open for unbeleivable deals :?

Actually, only (1) one AB that's been stolen over the last (2) two weeks in Palm Bay.

It was taken last Monday night from across the street from PB Hospital.

It was chained to a post of a chain linked fence.

It was described as a 12ft, green hulled f/g boat with a 220 gp on it. The trailer was desbribed as "unsafe to tow."

The owner valued boat motor & trailer @ $3500.00

More than likely with the price of metals, the boat was stolen by "scrappers", dismantled & sold as such.

Items like cylinder heads, donut racks, trailers & AC coils are being smashed off site by the theives & then sold.

This way it looks like scrap & not like the above.

We're on them everyday!!!
