take a look

By no means am I an athority on it, but I believe a Lyc. 0360 strait valve
is typicaly a 180, with the angle valve being a 200 or 205 hp.
and the 0320 Lyc. strait valve being 150 hp. with the angle valve
being a 170 hp. But with all the mixing, and matching of this part and that one
on theese motors who knows for sure? Like I said there are a bunch of folks
on this sight far more qualifide to answer the question than I.
carb or fuel inj. also comes into play on HP ratings.

K-Mac has it about right. For that price he either has problems with the boat or has financial problems and needs to get rid of it. Most airboat engines end up being parts motors in that price range. A Jam up real aircraft engine (for an airboat, not ready to fly) would likely cost near twice what he is asking for the whole rig.

Common sense says beware but check it out in person and verify as much as ya can. Prop size may be an indicator but only if it performs and revs properly with THAT particular prop.

Cowboy and others here run a 200HP O360. Others have a 180HP O-360. Maybe they will chime in here with their respective prop sizes. My combination wont help much since I have the 205 or 210 version with a 180 prop. Heck I cant even remember what the numbers are on my prop, but I am way under propped.

Used boats are Caviet Emptar.

Just like the cold war, trust but verify.

Scotty
