TEACH A REDNECK TO WELD

IMG_0134.JPG

Here's one of your pics Rick. I see you trying to post a pic in the forum, and ALMOST getting it. Here's a tip...

You have the tags right, but you have the wrong thing between the tags.

You need to put the image LOCATION between the tags. What you're putting there is the web address of the whole page which displays your image. It needs to be just the image.

I'm starting to confuse myself... it's really easy.

RIGHT CLICK on your image, and try to get the location of the image from properties.

Copy & Paste that into your forum post between the [img] tags.

That's ALMOST it....

It's always helpful to click on PREVIEW instead of SUBMIT at first to see if you got it all done right. HTML is not very forgiving. One misplaced spacebar or bracket and it can be thrown off.

Give it a try, PM me if you want more help. We'll get on the nextel at the same time and get you going.

That's a really nice BBQ!!!!!!!!

:)

Safari, I want one. PM me if you intend to make a few to sell. Sweet piece of work.

Hey Mood thanks that was actually easy this time. Amazing what can happen when you have a little direction to follow. Big feather you find a tank(this one's an old 125 gal. air compressor) and we can work something out and for you cajun just to let ya know I was a chef for about 12yrs. Didn't build that big old beer belly of mine on Budweiser ALONE. I'll be testing er out today- try to post some more pics latter.

What is that laying in the fire box on the last picture, a cutting torch? That is a neat looking rig for sure, and should be big enought to put a good size hog on to feed a big bunch of clowns around a lake with a bunch of toys.lol.Did ya run a gas line back to the fire box to start the wood burning? If so let me know how you like that, the next one I build I thought about doing that just to make getting the wood to burn alittle easier. I lioke the size of the fire box too, nice. Great job and maybe one day I'll get to test your BBQ-ING. Later , Cajun

Glad I could help a little Rick.... Southern Airboat Rick may have an issue with me saying this... I'll take it back if I need to Rick..... But you can use that trick to take an image from anywhere on the web and display it here in this forum. (providing the hosting site allows outside linking)

so with that in mind, here is one for your BBQ...

Hey Rick - next challenge for you.... figure out a way to tow that beauty behind an airboat! Get that puppy out to the Milk Bus!!!! :D

nice work.

Mood thanks for the help. Cajun I ran a gas line from the regulator to a roofers blow down torch not only can you light the charcoal and wood with no lighter fluid but when you open the doors you lose heat- a good 10 second blast aimed into the tank raises the temp about 50 degree's. That way you don't have to worry about food born illness( learn all about that sweating in a kitchen for all those years makeing other people money and me barely able to pay the rent).

I got one of the commercial smoker/grills with the firebodx off of one end. They sell at Home Depot, & etc. I wouldn't trade it for a solid gold illegal immigrant ! I know you are gona love that one ! P1g of course is the main reason for them kinda grills. Yay P1g !

Looks super Safari Rick !

What better end for a pig or a chicken ....... I can almost smell 'em from here :D .

I'm impressed with that smoker, I'm just starting one for my sister. It's made from a 500 gal propane tank. The problem I'm having is to find a large enough burner to heat the cooker with. It looks like I'll have to make that too. I don't think I'll have a firebox since she wants it gas fired, just a small rack over the burner for a piece of hickory. This works well and makes it much easier to control the heat. There also will not be any shelves in front of the cooker since it's 39" deep you wouldn't be able reach the food in the back.

I've got one of them from Home Depot. It works good for what it is. I even what put a pig in freezer today for next weekend. :snorting:

Now thats a sweet lookin rack of groceries. Looks like ya broke her in right. I'm like Feather, I think I kin smell it over here just lookin at it. Great looking job its doing for sure. Yea I beleive ya know something about cookin. Thanx, A Hungry Cajun

The other fellow building the 500 gal. cooker, if you can find some commercial water heater burners, you can find some that will do the job. Maybe check with some folks that change them out for hospitals or cooking places and locate some used ones. Later

Thanks Cajun- found those burners on the front of mine at the Flea market.
Resturant supply house may have used or can get replacement industrial grill burners. Ifin I was going to make one that burned gas I would probably go that route.
