Just a short post to say Citrucs County Airboat Alliance set the bar very high for all other FAA meeting host clubs to follow as yesterday's host of the quarterly FAA meeting. OUTSTANDING JOB.
Smooth as silk. Terrific meeting site - Armante's Restaurant - airboat up and eat. CCAA = Great hosts - terrific trail ride guides, definately not pansies.
All airboats gathered at the "airboat picnic site" deep in the marsh - joint effort between CCAA and SWFMD - beautiful place. Miles and miles of wonderful airboat country - no one complained about the noise.
Friendships made and improved, joint efforts, airboater alliances, common goals, determined respectable representatives for all over, thoughtful leadership. Hope for the future of Florida airboating.
FWC in attendance. Dennis David, Regional Director, gave a detailed report on the next step in equipment testing. FWC's determination to establish scientific standards for what works and what doesn't in sound reduction steps. They seem determined to "give us the facts", not jump the gun prematurely. FWC / DLE officers in attendance who recovered the stolen Citrus County airboat in nearby Sumter - FAA shouted "Thank You".
