A huge Thank You to Stan for taking my firefighter buddy and his lovely wife on a wonderful airboat ride around Lake Charles. I was on the cell phone with my friend while they were following Stan to the launch site and it was hilarious what the friend was saying.. "dude, I don't know where we're going, but the sign we just passed said road maintenance stops at this point!" "And we're still driving on!" "Where the hell did you tell him to take us???"Gulp"
The newlyweds were spellbound by Stans knowledge of airboats and the local area and critters... Stan and his lovely wife even took them out to supper after a 2+ hour ride.. Fantastic!!!
You folks have truly shown the beauty of airboaters.. I thank you and my buddy most certainly thanks you too...

I'd also like to thank the other folks who responded to my request for a ride;

Stan is about the smartest airboater I've ever seen.
In my opinion, he's the Albert Einstein & Isaac Newton of airboating. LOL
And yup. He's a gentleman too.
Same for his wife - Cheryl. She is equally as smart, kind and gracious.


That road sounds like the road that goes to Volusia Bar on Lake George.
Stan sure knows the way off the main roads!
That's where the best boating is.
 
stan and cheryl are great people,the kind you are always glad to see on and off the water.i dont know about that dog though. :shock:
 
The knowledgable, cordial and hospitable airboater is becoming a critter more often encountered these days. I for one kinda believe it rubbs off on others.

Haven't met him yet, but sure sounds like Stan is a real airboater in the truest sensem of the word.

Really glad this worked out like it did. I have little doubt there would have been a similar outsome had you set your fiends up with any of the others who offered as well.

This kind of thing speaks to more people and and louder the evening news or local paper ever will.
