I'd like to once again say thanks to whoever raided our camp on Hatchineha...AGAIN!!! This time you took my lantern, a small wire grill, and totally F'd up my tent. Why not just take it like you did before???

I really don't mind if people use my stuff..but don't take it for yourself!!! I am no longer going to have a semi-permanent camp out there on the lake. I will go back to setting up a lean-to off of my boat. I am not asking anyone to step forward...but if you are the type of person who stops in and checks out goodies at others places, you'd better check your six cause the owner might not be too far away.

I am not accusing any SA member of being the culprit so don't get your undies in a wad. But with 500+ members and even more guests there is a fair chance whoever did it will get the message.

Dang Adam. It sux that there are people out there who would do something like that. Maybe you can find some comfort in the fact that idiot scumbags who do that crap usually let their ignorance or greed (or both) get the best of them and they screw up and it comes full circle, and they get what they deserve. ;)

Thats really bites BPS...I know first hand what it feels like ... some peace of trash stole and destroyed mine and my buddies tree stands last month :evil:
 
And people wonder why there are "no trespassing" signs everywhere!! I myself like the open door policy....until someone steals the door.
 
BPS Sorry to hear it man that is exactly why there is all the "no tresspassing" signs out there. If anyone knows of someone doing this kind of crap they need to drop a dime on them unless they can drop a car on them instead. I had a trailer up on the suwanne river and I used to leave it open because I got tired of repairing it when they broke in. Then they started breaking out the windows from the inside. There was a soft spot in the floor, what trailer doesn't get those, just inside the front door. I found a hole there once with blood on the floor where they got cut when they fell through it, I really felt bad for them. I ended up selling the place at a loss because I was tired of spending all my time fixing it everytime I went up.

I hope you catch them and help them with their educational process.
 
Blood on the floor, huh .... man, I'll bet you felt terrible about that :) .

I heard about a guy who had an old river camp on the Ohio River that was always gettin broken in to, but which just happened to be on a powerline. He put a metal grate at the front door, and when he'd leave the place he had a wire running to the door knob, and another to the grate, with an old on-off switch hidden on the side of the shack.

His break-ins dropped considerably ..... :lol: .

That is for sure that what goes around comes around and I love it when I get to see it happen to the people that done me wrong!!
