I was attending an airboat operation instructors course this week ,put on by the
US Department of Interior,USGS .Our instructors were Gary Hill from USGS and Brian Edwards of ATS of North America .Every thing was going alone great untill we loaded our boats at the ramp at Loughmans Lodge were it was discovered one of the airboats had a Broken rudder stick .Normally this wouldn't be to much of a problem 'cept the boat and its opperators Brent and Mark were from South Florida with another full day of exercises to execute .At 6 pm its hard to find a shop open to make repairs .And with the next days class starting at 8am The fellers from south Florida was in bit of depression .
Well one call to geneva0550 saved the day he got us hooked up with a friend and nieghbor wich was a short 10 mile drive and with in minutes the boat was repaired and ready for action Thanks to Dave ,Al and southernairboat.com

Stan, glad I could help out. Al is our friendly neighborhood airboat builder and I knew he would be glad to help y'all. It was also a pleasure meeting Brian , Brent , and Mark. Feel free to call again anytime.

Stan,

this was a great outcome thanks to you and your extensive knowledge of the local personnel.. That saved the day.

I've arrived back home after two weeks of meeting and working with some of the best people in the airboat community. Had a ball, learned a lot, and fell in love with the St. Johns River area. Meeting Dave, Al, and the other folks at Al,s house was a real pleasure along with all the numerous airboat tour guides I met during my stay.
You folks are a GREAT group of people!! :D I'm proud to say I'm an airboater.... Just wish I could have stayed longer.

To everyone out, there I've got something to say about Stan. He's a fantastic airboater and a great person!! The class that he attended would not have been near as memorable nor as informative has Stan not been there.... The knowledge that man retains in his is noggin is priceless!! And the sayings that kept coming out of his mouth kept me on my toes (as and instructor) for the entire week.. I was either laughing my a** off or just trying to figure out what the hell Stan just said and not look too "Northern" trying to figure it out...... It was a true pleasure to have meet and worked with this man. :D

I can't wait to come back down and meet more of my "extended airboat family"

Brian.

Hey Sniper,

I've got to stay true to my snow.. 8) The marsh was fantastic and I fell in love with the area, but the snow is still first in my warped and confused heart..

BTW, While at Kevin's house on Sunday, he gave me a really neat siren that fit a bracket I already had on my boat. He said something about you taking it, but you forgot so I got the booty.. :D :D Later Wingman.....

Aw Wingman, that hurts. My Moma didn't name me Barney....

But as a side note, my Dad did come REAL close to giving me his name. BUFORD!! Man, I'm sure glad my Moma put her foot down on that idea!
Brian.
