Sorry to let this post fall off I’ve been busy with work and side jobs to help fund this build and I’m hoping to have the majority of the motor put back together I should be getting my pistons and rings sometime next week

I am running a rotator 2.68 with a 80.5” R 3 blade and right now with a completely stock junk yard pull out it’s pitched to turn 6k which I plan on adding pitch before next outing and cruise is around 3600-4000 but gets almost identical fuel consumption as my Buick boat did. I have only run 25 gallons through the bot so far and ran with a buddy that has a panther with a 5.7ls and I never get over 140* weather I am running it dry or on the lake. Mind you I have a true 7’ running bottom. With the new engine build I am hoping for as close to mr whine’s idea of the perfect combo

With the hull that I have I’m limited on prop size and the maximum length of prop that I would be able to run would be a 78in prop being that my hull is 7ft wide at the top. I also plan on adding aluminum to deck in the side to so can walk around the boat that will transition towards the cage just like Kyle did with his hull that he built.

1 eye,
What sensor are you talking about? O2, Cam, Crank, all of the above?
I was referring to the o2 sensor. There is bosch and NTK, NTK is supposedly the better sensor. This is for a holley efi. Not sure about a stock harness if that is what you're running.

I ran a bosch for several years and did not realize my head had cracked. I a very rough better in the gulf it went out, I believe because of the moister in the exhaust. Either one may have gone bad in that situation. The NTK is what is recommended for forced induction and it handle the higher exhaust temp better.

Sorry I haven’t been active much I’ve had big buck chasing and burning avgas holding me down and now that huntin season drawing to a close (4 weeks left) down in my neck of the woods. I picked up a single rudder it’s gonna need to be cleaned up and repainted and I have had my eye on a 13ft deck over palm beach hull copy that would be more suitable for the 5.3 vs my 12ft open hull Stossel just haven’t made the move yet to jump on it

Well, I reckon he didn’t “get around to it in the morning;” but I hope everything came out all right.
