Tilapia

They are easier to find at night but they are fast and hard to gig.A gar will pretty much sit there but you have to kind of anticipate what a tilapia will do when you go to gig them.

I will let you knw next time we go crabby. They sell the gig heads we use at geneva general. I use the #8

We where out on lk winder giging saturday night and the frog gig I started out with tore up after 2 fish so had the wife drive and threw a cast net and caught some but there every where down here.

I never thought of giggin` em I`ve always shot `em with a bow. Right then who want`s to do a little tilapia shootin` an` gigin`.

All ways wondered what they looked like thanks for posting the picture I shirr do like eating them I wonder if we have them here in Georgia I TAKE IT THEY ARE A FRESH WATER FISH ?

I caught one by accident once while Spec fishing on Lake Jessup. We were running back to Black Hammock for more minnows and one of the lines got back in the water some how. The next thing i knew a cane pole took off and went flying out of the boat. Went back to retrieve it and found a snagged tilapia on the other end.
