Title and propellor questions

I have three areas for question and hope someone can shed some light on them for me

1) Propellor-- form the top of my cage to the bottom fiberglass splash plate measures 72 3/4" . what is the biggest prop I can run a 72" or a 70" ?????

2) Title--- I traded for this boat about a year ago and got a bill of sale But when I tryied to reg it the other day they said I can't use that here in Fl I have to have the title How do I get a title?

3) seating--- The boat is set up with single front seat control and double rear seat , I was thinking of putting the control seat in the rear so the kids would sit in front of me so I could see them at all time. Is there any reason why the control seat would be in the front as I see it on allot of airboats:?:

1.) well I believe I would go with the 70". 3/4" is a little tight for me.

2.) if the hull has numbers on it have the tag agency run the numbers and see who has the title and get in touch with them. If whomever you traded with is on the level then there should be no problem you may have to pay for them to file for a lost title and then get them to sign it over to you. Now if you were dealing with a scum bag you may open a whole can of worms :( . if there is no numbers on the hull the look around the rear of the hull and find the serial numbers which are etched in the hull and have them run to find the title.

3.) Great idea shouldn't be any problem just keep an eye on the weight distribution the seat placement is a matter of personal preference only once you consider the balance of the boat. I like my passengers in front of me and down lower so I can watch them also. The grownups are worse than the kids this world is full of stupid people several times I have had to take evasive action to protect them from themselves. It is tempting sometimes to let them do the stupid things they do so they will remeber the lesson. There is no substitute for experience and experience is what you get from making bad decisions.

Thank you for your reply, I was not sure how much clearnce I needed on the prop but I will look for the 70" There was both hull Id and Fl reg numbers (outdated) on the boat the title office looked up a address for the former owner and I called info to get Mr Dehays phone number. I have called a few times and left detailed messages for him but have not heard form him or been able to get anything other then the message machine so I am at a loss right now.
As for shifting seats and weight really there is not much change as I weigh about 150 (soaking wet) my sons weigh around 40 & 80 each, basiclly all teh weight is in the engine and fuel tank I would just rather see them in front otherwise I would be turning watching them all the time. I just wanted to make sure there was not reason for the front seat steering (other then planing out) becuase I have seen alot of people lean towards the front seater

Well I am out of suggestions on the title problem for you. One other raeson for the front seat ... some people like to frog from the front seat I have found it doesnt matter. Also the passengers get the bugs first if they are up front LOL just a thought.

:( Well I was down registering my alumitech and I asked the people there about your situation and basically they said you were outta luck if the person doesnt respond. You can go through a company that gets storage titles but it is quite a process you have to send the owner notice that the boat is stored and what the bill is and if they pay it you lose so make it a high bill which it should be as long as it has been stored. that is about the only way to do it.
