torque from motor to boat

When i throttle up my boat wants to dig in the back right corner. In doing this water can come over the side towards the stern fairly easy. Anyine have any problems like this??? 350hp 2.3-1 belt reduction 3 blade sensinch c.f. prop

torqe roll pure physics in direct drive and belt drive aplications solution wider hull , load boat heavy on left ,turn toward roll at takeoff . goto a gear box to reverse rotation of prop . or get use to it, one more thing dont sink

you can also raise the sides of your hull in the back to help. I have seen boats with a pizza wedge added to the sides of the boat to give it a little more highth in the rear. Pizza wedge-- cut aluninum like a peice of pizza and weld it on top of the sides.

Wouldn't you turn away from the roll at take off?

by turning away from the roll it would make the side dig in that much harder and u would more than like 9 out of 10 times go under or shit urself. u see it a lot with direct drive caddys specialy on small glass hulls, turn into the torque side slightly when getting on a plane then stick it back as it goes to jump up kinda evening it out in a sense, it works, and as for wings yes our first boat was a jones round side 12ft with a direct drive 350 with a paddle and we had to put "wings" on it in the back just for that fact.

The three biggest causes of torque roll! First is weight the more the weight the more roll. It's simple physics everything takes the path of least resistance and it's easier to roll a big boat then it is to push it forward. Second is you have a belt drive both the motor and prop torque in the same direction! Third is running bottom a wider boat will roll less but the third can't make up for the first two unless your boat is 15ft wide!

That sounds wrong
My cotton mouth if i pull the rudder to turn left the left rear corner dig in. if i turn right and gas it the right corner goes under just like gassing it straight on. I turned to the right taking off this week end testing my new prop and put 10-20 gallons in on the right side. I do have a tunnel hull about 3 foot at rear.

I recommend a good bilge pump.

I have a 350 with a planetary gear box.
I throw my cooler in on the left side generally that's all i need.
