Trailer Sliks

New member 1st post. I just installed a set on my trailer and was wondering if anyone else has any experience good or bad. I off loaded and power loaded twice from dry ground and they definitely make it a lot easier. The only problem I see is the boat slides side to side on the trailer with only a good push, I have a 14X7.5 Diamondback with ZZ4, l do have side guides so I'm going to jam some closed cell docking fenders in between while trailering. You have to believe the warning sticker about being ready to launch as the boat really slides off!

I thought about putting them on but did not know if it might warp or leave an ident in my poly. sounds like a great idea , what kind of bottom do you have. I also added a trailer roller near my axial which works great for using my winch for unloading on dry ground.

Woody,
I have 3/8" black polymer installed and I can't imagine that it could be dented. I did as the instructions stated and installed two strips side by side, my bunks are 6" wide. Total install time with a screw gun was 20 minutes.

Woody,
I got them at West Marine, but most marine suppliers have them, I think
they are 2" wide.

All you need on any airboat trailer's runners is a can of $4.00 silicon spray. You spray those runners good with silicon and you can unload it with your little finger anywhere. Try it and see.
